The 8.5 cm height lets it fit under furniture with ease, while front cameras and infrared sensors aid it navigate around obstacles and thresholds easily.
The Scout RX3 impressed us in our test of how well it cleaned baking powder from baseboards and corners. Its 2,500Pa of suction was a bit weaker than other robots but it was able to move quickly and was extremely quiet. It didn't clean, however, and its removable cleaning pads were difficult to attach and couldn't cope with dried-on dirt.

The app doesn't have advanced features such as multiple cleaning modes or automated scheduling. It supports Alexa however its voice commands aren't intuitive or responsive. It's also unreliable when it comes getting back to the charging station after a run Other robots can follow a previous route or follow a wall around until they reach their destination however the RX3 just bumbles about until it quits and sends a failure message to your phone.
Another issue we faced was with its clever features, specifically the mapping function and digital keep-out zones. It was great at keeping our furniture legs and shoes away but it was easily hanging up on socks, cables, and carpets. We didn't include the Scout RX3 on our Best Buy list. The Scout RX3 offers a good price and impressive performance. It's worth looking into as an alternative to uprights that are traditionally used.
