The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping using app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s smartest robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its greatest advancement is an obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often slough through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of an object it encounters to let you know to avoid it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop that we have ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills effortlessly, leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. You can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't vacuum in areas you don't want. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off using your voice.
Its design is a step above the competition and features a sleek, top piece that looks more like a toy robot than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt Disposal System is also self-emptying which will cut down your cleaning time.
In smart robot , the j7+ was quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one location instead of scattering it all over the floor. It was able to collect small gravel, sand and even a bit of grit. Most robots can't do this. And it did all this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shedding.
The j7+, although not as intelligent as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot and cannot clean the stairs, it's a good option for those who require both a vacuum and a mop. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and it can be difficult to know if they are working until you actually see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than just clean your floors then a hybrid is the ideal choice. These machines are equipped with a tank of water so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. They also have a number of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. They're costly at retail, but usually come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock produces some of our favorite robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ doesn't disappoint. This is their least expensive auto-empty model. While it doesn't have some of the premium features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great option if you're willing sacrifice a little to save some hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles like wall legs and table legs and walls, which makes it a great choice for homes with lots of furniture. budget robot vacuum 's also very thorough when it comes to cleaning up dust bunnies, which is a place which many robot vacuums can really fail. The Q5+'s navigation system is top-quality, with a few misses on walls and corners.
Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled using a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. Through the app, you can start and stop cleanings, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and adjust your home map or change the labels of rooms.
If you decide to go with the Q5+, it ships with a new auto-empty dock specifically designed to make the robot simple to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver however, once it's in place it can be done without difficulty. It comes with a huge LCD screen which is helpful in setting up schedules and altering settings. This feature isn't required for most people however it can help you to keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design is one of the best in the industry however it's quite expensive.
It's a small base station that looks great and can be hidden when not in use. But the station's main selling feature is the way it automatizes various tasks and functions that most other robots will leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water and also electrolyze and warm the water. The majority of other robots require you to do this.
Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive, too. It's one of the few robot vacuums I've tried that does very well at cleaning up debris from unfinished floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly when it comes to navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs, meaning it can get stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the home. It also can't climb stairs like other models and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning area for carpets that are soft.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great option for those looking for a robot vacuum that does everything.
If you're looking to cut costs or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are other options available. Many of the eufy models cost considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and offers the same experience in the app, but with additional features such as the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and superior overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
eufy is an Anker company that has an established track record of making robot vacuums that have the right balance of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on hard and carpeted floors, as well as mopping capabilities for a low cost. It's easy to setup simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn on and plug in the charging dock. The app takes you through several steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. The dock must be placed close to an outlet that has enough space to move.
The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be precise and can be tucked away under couches and other low-clearance furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious when compared to rival models. It features a sleek black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern over two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.
The primary feature that sets the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It uses an integrated map to create an image of the unmovable items that are in its path. It remembers the things it has cleaned and where it cannot access. When it needs to recharge, it will automatically return to its starting point and begins cleaning from where it started.
The sleek G30 isn't without its faults however. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower cost of operation. It charges faster, has a similar battery life, and performs better on unfinished carpet or floors with low pile. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as often and comes with the boundaries that ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't require as frequent emptying and it has less trouble with bulky material such as cereal.
